ARDEX MC™ PLUS Moisture Control System PDS | MSDS

A two-coat, 100% solids epoxy moisture control system formulated to suppress moisture vapor emissions in new or existing concrete prior to the installation of ARDEX Americas Underlayments.

Product Capabilities:

It is especially suited to treat areas of new concrete that may still be damp or have very high moisture readings, up to 98% RH. ARDEX MC PLUS is also used over existing concrete where the level of moisture emissions from the slab exceeds the maximum allowed by the manufacturer of the finished floor covering.

The ARDEX MC PLUS system is based on a reactive epoxy that produces a hard surface and bonds tenaciously to the substrate. There are two components: the ARDEX MC™ PLUS PRIMER, which is red in color and is installed as the base coat, and the ARDEX MC™ PLUS SEALER, which is dark green in color and serves as the sealer coat. After sufficient drying, the surface of the system is then primed prior to
installing the selected ARDEX Americas underlayments and then the final finish flooring. Once cured, this two-coat system reduces any level of moisture emissions to an acceptable level, even over new concrete that is only 7 days old.

No sand broadcast is necessary for underlayment layers of 1/4” (6 mm) thick or less. For thicker applications, apply a third coat of ARDEX MC PLUS with a sand broadcast, or use the ARDEX MC ULTRA™ Moisture Control System.

ARDEX MC™ RAPID Moisture Control System PDS | MSDS

A one-coat, fast-track 100% solids epoxy moisture control system formulated to suppress moisture vapor emissions in new and existing concrete prior to installing ARDEX Americas Underlayments.

Product Capabilities:

Use to treat areas of new concrete that may still be damp or have very high (98% RH) moisture readings. ARDEX MC RAPID is also used over existing concrete where the level of moisture emissions from the slab exceeds the maximum allowed by the manufacturer of the finished floor covering. Designed specifically for fast-track installations, ARDEX MC RAPID can receive an ARDEX Americas Underlayment in as little as 4 hours.

The ARDEX MC RAPID system is based on a reactive epoxy that produces a hard surface and tenaciously bonds to the substrate. Depending on moisture test results, ARDEX MC RAPID is applied at one of two thicknesses: 10 mils (250 microns) for moisture readings up to 85% RH (ASTM F2170), or 14 mils (350 microns) for moisture readings over 85% and up to 98% RH.

Once cured, this system reduces any amount of moisture emissions to acceptable levels, even over new concrete that is only 7 days old. No sand broadcast is necessary for underlayment layers of 1/4” (6 mm) thick or less. For thicker applications, apply a second coat of ARDEX MC RAPID with a sand broadcast, or use the ARDEX MC™ ULTRA or ARDEX MC™ PLUS Moisture Control Systems.

ARDEX PC FINISH™ Concrete Lithium PDS | MSDS

Use ARDEX PC FINISHTM High or Low Gloss on newly polished concrete, colored concrete, concrete toppings and for restoring existing surfaces. This reactive micro-impregnating SiRE (Silicon Reactive Lithium) polymer gives surfaces higher gloss and increased abrasion and stain resistance while lowering maintenance costs. Apply with a micro-fiber pad and applicator then burnish with diamond impregnated pads to create a glossy finish with excellent wear properties and extended life.

ARDEX PC 10 Lithium Hardener PDS | MSDS

Use ARDEX PC 10 as part of the ARDEX Polished Concrete Systems or with other ARDEX Engineered Toppings to make an extremely dense, durable hard surface that resists dusting and wear. Advanced chemistry creates a surface with higher reflectivity, longer life and lower maintenance costs.

ARDEX PC 50 Lithium Hardener PDS | MSDS

ARDEX PC 50TM Lithium Densifier is an economical, cost effective chemical treatment used to enhance the grinding and polishing process (metal and resin-bonded abrasives) of architectural polished concrete surfaces. ARDEX PC 50 rapidly produces a harder, denser surface that is easily profiled and polished. Its deep penetrating, non-soluble properties provide longer life and higher reflectivity. Ultimately, this results in superior durability, exceptional shine retention and reduced floor maintenance costs. ARDEX PC 50 is crucial to the installation of the ARDEX Polished Concrete Systems when polishing, or re-polishing and restoring worn or damaged surfaces.

ARDEX PC-T installs from 3/8” to 2” (9.5 mm to 5 cm) neat and up to 5” (13 cm) with the addition of aggregate. ARDEX PC-T hardens fast due to its unique self-drying formulation – it can be polished in as little as 24 hours. Use ARDEX PC-T to provide a hard, flat, smooth surface that can be polished. ARDEX PC-T is ideal in areas such as retail stores, schools, warehouses, airports and all interiors where a polished concrete surface is desired.

ARDEX SD-M™ Designer Floor Finish PDS | MSDS

The most versatile and technically advanced Portland cement-based topping on the market today!
Product Capabilities:

ARDEX SD-M can be installed indoors over concrete and certain non-porous substrates to provide a hard, flat, smooth ARDEX DESIGNER FLOORS™ finish for retail and hospitality areas, as well as lobbies, and all interiors requiring such a surface.

ARDEX SD-M can also be installed to achieve a finished concrete surface in warehouses, utility rooms, and light manufacturing. ARDEX SD-M mixes with water only to a creamy, smooth consistency for easy application. Engineered around a self-drying, Portland cement-based matrix, all of the mix water is chemically combined within the product itself. Using this unique technology, flooring installation problems associated with disbonding, crumbling, mold, mildew, and staining are eliminated.

ARDEX SD-P® PDS | MSDS

Trowelable patch for smoothing and repairing floors. Developed to reduce curing time on pressed-for-time jobs.

Product Capabilities:

For smoothing and repairing of concrete floors, ramps, stairways, as well as non-porous substrates such as terrazzo, ceramic & quarry tile prior to the installation of floor covering. When installing over standard absorbent concrete, no priming is required.

ARDEX SD-P sets quickly so that a smooth, steel-troweled surface can be obtained readily. The finished surface hardens rapidly permitting the installation of most common floor coverings to proceed immediately – no additional drying time is required. Using advanced Portland cement chemistry with a self-drying matrix, ARDEX SD-P is ideal for patching and reaches a compressive strength of 4,200 psi.

Benefits:

Portland cement-based
Provides a smooth surface prior to floor covering installation
Mixes with water only – no primer required over concrete, no latex additive necessary
Easy to mix and apply
Exceptional bond strength
Use for interior floors only
